Abstract submission has been extended to 3 March 2003.

Abstracts, as well as ICE-2003 conference proceedings manuscripts, will be processed via the web-based "Editorial Manager" of the Journal of Electroceramics.

Please follow these important steps for abstract submission:

  1. Register on the homepage of the Editorial Manager to begin the abstract submission process.
  2. After registering, choose "Submit a Manuscript" to continue the abstract submission process.
  3. Be sure to select "ICE2003 Abstract" on the "Select Article Type" page.
  4. During the submission process, you will be asked to upload a file containing your abstract. The abstract submission site is capable of receiving many formats (including Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect and LateX, but NOT pdf).
  5. If you would like to specify that your paper be presented "oral" or "poster," please indicate this in the "Enter Comments" section of the Editorial Manager abstract submission site. The program committee will do its best to accommodate your preference.
  6. If you would like your paper to be included in the special symposium, “Ceramics Integration,” please indicate “Ceramics Integration” in the "Enter Comments" section of the Editorial Manager abstract submission site.
  7. Submitted abstracts should be prepared in accordance with the guidelines outlined below:

  • Use the Times New Roman or similar font.
  • Use single-line spacing throughout; abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • List authors' names, contact author first. Up to 6 authors' names and their corresponding affiliations may be listed. If more than 6 authors, use 'et al.'
  • Presenting author should be indicated by (*).
  • Do not indent paragraphs.
  • Do not exceed one page, using 1" (2.5cm) margins on all sides.

An expanded abstract booklet will be available at the conference. All abstracts will be refereed. A condition of submission is that, if accepted, the paper will be presented at ICE-2003 by one of the authors.

PROCEEDINGS

Authors are invited to submit papers for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Electroceramics, Harry L. Tuller, Editor-in-Chief. Cost of the proceedings, which will be published shortly after the conference, will be included in the registration fee. Acceptance of papers is subject to peer review.
